Keith
Moore has 24 years post-doctoral experience of basic and clinical biomedical
research which has been appied for consultancy work in the field of
wound care since January 2003.
Graduation
with a PhD in tumour Immunology from the Paterson Laboratories in Manchester,
UK was followed in 1978 by Postdoctoral Research Fellowships at Edinburgh
University Medical School and the Ontario Cancer Treatment and Research
Foundation, Canada. On returning to the UK in 1982 Dr Moore established
the Monoclonal Antibody unit at the Wessex Regional Immunology Service,
Southampton, UK to develop diagnostic monoclonal antibodies for leukaemia
phenotyping.
A
brief interlude in the technology transfer unit at Cardiff University
from 1990-94 led to Dr Moore joining the Wound Healing Research Unit
at the College of Medicine, Cardiff as Research and Development Director.
Much of the research was in partnership with companies active in developing
wound treatments. From 2000 - 2002 Dr Moore worked as a research scientist
within the Wound Management Business Unit of Smith & Nephew Medical
Ltd - one of the worlds leading wound management companies.
